Day 01 :

Nairobi to Samburu

Distance: 320 km (Approx. 5 hours)

Collection:
At 07:30 hrs, your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or Nairobi airport.

Safari Experience:
We’ll set off in our comfortable 4x4 Jeep, journeying through Kenya’s central highlands. Enjoy stunning views of local coffee, tea, sisal, and pineapple farms as we make our way. Along the route, you'll catch sight of the majestic Mt. Kenya, the pride of our nation and its tallest peak.

Overnight:
Arrive in Samburu for your first night immersed in the beauty of the African wilderness, ready for an exciting safari adventure ahead!

Day 02 :

The Samburu Safari

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We’ll start the day with an exciting game drive, searching for majestic lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other wildlife that may emerge in the morning light.

Following the Ewaso Ngiro River, we’ll keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, and the more entertaining wildlife, such as dik-diks, warthogs, and olive baboons.

Samburu is also renowned as one of the two regions where conservationist Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness, who gained fame through the book and movie Born Free.

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the Samburu people, an indigenous pastoral community closely related to the Maasai, who have inhabited this area for generations.

As always on our safaris, you can choose to be as active as you like or simply relax at your safari accommodation.

Day 03 :

Samburu to Nairobi

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

On our final morning in Samburu, you'll have the chance to add more wildlife sightings to your list. In addition to mammals, the park is home to over 350 bird species, including kingfishers, vultures, guinea fowl, egrets, falcons, and eagles. There’s plenty to observe on the ground, near the springs, and soaring above.

As we make our way back to Nairobi, we'll enjoy another game drive while exiting the park.

We’ll break up the journey with a stop for lunch along the way.

We expect to arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel, residence, or at the airport if you prefer.
